Talk about an eclectic and worth group to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Last night on ‘American Idol’, the inductees for the Class of 2024 were announced, including:

Ozzy

Foreigner

Peter Frampton

Dave Matthews Band

Kool & the Gang

Cher

A Tribe Called Quest

Mary J. Blige

Let’s face it, some of these artists/bands had been waiting quite awhile to finally get the nod to be included in the HOF. And some were perhaps a bit more ‘worthy’. Ozzy certainly belongs and fans have wondered what took so long. Same for Foreigner and Frampton. This was the first time that Cher was even nominated, and even had some choice words when she learned she might be included. She told Kelly Clarkson on her show, “”You know what, I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars. I’m never going to change my mind.” Okay, then let’s remove her from the list. I think we’re all a little tired of the attitude, Cher. How many bands have waited MULTIPLE years to included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? A LOT! And yes, many have also shared their annoyance with being ‘overlooked’ (Steve Miller Band was more than miffed). But the committee who makes this decision has to consider several artists/bands who have proven their worth to even be nominated, let alone be included in that particular year’s class.

The induction ceremony will take place on October 19th in Cleveland, Ohio, streaming live on Disney+. Fans will also be able to catch it on ABC at a later time.
