When I first saw this article, I was like “Come on, John…..Give us a break”! But then, I read Mellencamp’s explanation as to why he wants fans to “behave” at his show.

The reason: It’s NOT a concert anymore, it’s a performance. Similar to a broadway performance. In other words, no screaming, no yelling, no getting drunk, and no being obnoxious.
