He’s back, after nearly two decades, with a new song. Billy Joel has released ‘Turn The Lights Back On’, and what I immediately noticed is that at 74, Billy’s voice is still top notch! And that’s not always the case for many performers in his age group. Time starts to take a toll on some, but not Billy. I like this new song because it’s Billy opening up his heart and repeatedly asking, “Did I wait too long?”. It does have a definite melancholy sound, so you’ll be disappointed if you were expecting a rockin’ song. Take a listen and see what you think. Oh, and there’s a chance he’ll be playing this song at the Grammys this Sunday (Feb 4th) at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
