Cigarettes. I can remember riding my bike to Marsh Supermarket and getting my Mom a pack of cigarettes for .45 cents. (Of course she threw in another .10 cents so I could get a candy bar!)

And needless to say, the price of cigarettes has gone up over the years. Today, a pack of “heaters” will cost you about $6.00!
