‘Grease’ Returning To AMC Theatres This Weekend To Honor Olivia Newton-John

Fans still hopelessly devoted to Olivia Newton-John will have the chance this weekend to relive her iconic film role in “Grease.”!

AMC Theatres, the world’s largest cinema chain, is honoring the late singer by bringing the 1978 film back to the silver screen. The musical, which starred Newton-John as good girl Sandy Olsson with John Travolta’s greaser character of Danny Zuko, will play in 135 theaters nationwide starting today (8/19/22).

Tickets will cost $5, with $1 from every ticket going to the movie chain’s charitable fund, AMC Cares,  which supports breast cancer research.

One of my favorite scenes, too many to pick just one, is when Sandy and Danny are hangin with “The Pink Ladies” and “The T-Birds” remembering how they met on the beach. Oh those Summer nights! Watch here: Courtesy YouTube
