ZZ Top. The band that could claim to have the “longest tenure of a band with the original line-up”…..No personnel changes……until Dusty Hill passed away unexpectedly in 2021. And fans were wondering what would happen? Would the band carry on? Would they split? Was ZZ Top over?

Well, Dusty Hill told Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard before he passed to “carry on”…….continue being ZZ Top and he even recommended his replacement be long-time guitar tech, Elwood Francis.

And that’s what ZZ Top did….they hit the road with Elwood Francis and continue to “do their thing”….and now, it appears new music is on the way.
