58 Years Ago Today, Indiana’s Governor Said The Lyrics To ‘This’ Song Were Pornographic!

It was on this date 58 years ago, the song, ‘Louie Louie’ came under fire from our then Governor Matthew Welsh who couldn’t understand the lyrics and summed it up as being ‘pornographic’! Makes sense, right? I mean you’ve heard this song many, many times, but do you really know what The Kingsmen are saying?! So back in 1964, after our governor made such a stink over this song, the FCC investigated. And their findings? It’s ‘unintelligible at any speed’. HA!
