The Fountain Square landscape is going to look a little different in 2022. Pure Eatery will be closing their original location on Virginia Avenue at the end of the month.

Bar Manager, Jake Stewart, told Indy Star, “COVID ruined everything. We made it through like the hard part; the shutdowns and all that stuff. But now on top of the fact that people still don’t want to work in this industry, the costs of our products have gone up by like 40%. It’s not viable anymore.”

At one point, Pure Eatery had three operating locations—Fountain Square, Fishers and Lafayette. The latter closed a few years ago, Fishers shuttered in October, and Fountain Square will have it’s last day on December 31.
