Would have been really easy for Elton John to have shut down during the pandemic’s lockdown last year. His farewell tour was postponed and like the rest of us, Elton was waiting for the all the clear to get back to work. But instead of hibernating he reached out to fellow musicians, remotely, and started recording songs for his upcoming album, ‘The Lockdown Sessions’. Over the last 18 months, Elton recorded with Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Wonder and many pop stars. October 22nd he’ll release his collection of lockdown tunes. Can’t wait!
The last thing I expected to do during lockdown was make an album but here it is. Thank you to everyone who came together to make it happen.
I can’t wait for you all to hear ‘The Lockdown Sessions’ when it’s released on 22 October, but for now, preorder it from today. pic.twitter.com/u8Qfvuk1Fk
