Perry said he was honored because he was in awe of Eddie\’s natural talent but explained that… quote\” I don\’t know if I could be the guy to go out and represent the David Lee Roth years with my voice and I don\’t know if I want to be that guy.  It\’s a different kind of singing. So Perry passed on the offer.
