Stevie Nicks Says Fleetwood Mac May Have Never Happened If ‘This’ Hadn’t Occurred!

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Stevie Nicks said, “If I had not had that abortion, I’m pretty sure there would have been no Fleetwood Mac.” The two time Rock-n-Roll Hall Of Famer is referring to when she was seeing Don Henley in 1979. Stevie went on to talk about how her focus was on the band, working nonstop, and how even her drug use she would have had to “walk away”. She also added that she wasn’t implying that Fleetwood Mac would never have made it, but instead was trying to say they may have not become the Rock gods they became. Seems a little egotistical to me. Hey, I love Stevie Nicks and won’t disagree that she’s a HUGE reason the band has been successful, but no one irreplaceable. There was life for Van Halen after David Lee Roth…Bon Jovi has carried on without Richie Sambora…Journey proved they could make it without Steve Perry, and the list goes on and on. I would imagine that was a very tough decision Stevie had to make back in 1979. She’s such a beautiful and caring soul, she would have made an incredible mother.
