Janis Joplin was always a bit of an outcast. She wasn\’t a prep, an athlete, didn\’t sit at the \”cool table\”. Some saw her as a hippie, and picked on her. That included Dallas Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson. The two went to high school together and Johnson has owned up to giving her a hard time. In his own memoir, the coach said that the rocker, \”looked and acted so weired\”.  Joplin was her own person, and according to a new book called, \”Janis: Her Life And Music\” due this Tuesday Oct 22nd, she was eager to leave her small community to become an artist or musician.
