Wendy Williams Disses Upcoming Aretha Franklin Movie!

Wendy Williams

Aretha Franklin’s estate is blasting Wendy Williams for “irresponsible” and “mocking” remarks after the talk-show host attacked the late singer’s upcoming and long-delayed gospel film.

More than 40 years after it was filmed, a documentary detailing the making of Aretha Franklin\’s groundbreaking and best-selling album \”Amazing Grace\” will be in theaters April 15th. The Queen of Soul\’s family says Williams made inaccurate statements when she questioned the film\’s visual quality- and Franklin\’s natural look- as well as the motivations behind the movie\’s release.

Following her death in August, Franklin\’s estate cleared the way for the film’s premiere, and early screenings have earned glowing reviews from critics.

Wendy Williams says she only wanted to sympathize with Franklin\’s resistance to the movie, calling it a “one-camera shot movie (not true five cameras were used) which featured un glam shots of \”The Queen Of Soul\” in the church settings.  Williams also believes the estate is going broke and needs the money and that\’s why she\’s questioning the timing of the film\’s release.  A movie Aretha never gave permission to release.

Aretha Franklin is the \”Queen of Soul\” so let\’s give her the R E S P E C T she deserves and let us make up our own minds.  Her voice is like heaven and her story is inspring!
