Hoosiers are miserable. Well, at least according to a study done by 24/7 Wall St. They examined all 50 states looking at overall well being. Each state was graded on things like obesity rate, financial security, how satisfied they are with their community and other factors. So why did Indiana do so poorly?…we’re happy right? Well, Hoosiers unfortunately earn less than the national average of $50,500…about $5,000 less. We actually ranked worse in each category in the study. Our obesity rate is 31%…nearly 29.5% do not exercise…and 30% smoke. Depressing, right? Thankfully Indy and surrounding communities in Indiana are trying to create more green spaces and walking trails and bike lanes.
