Not too long ago, Billy Joel revealed he had been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus.
I know what you’re thinking.
What’s normal pressure hydrocephalus?
It’s a brain disorder where excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the brain’s ventricles or chambers, causing them to enlarge and press on nearby tissue while fluid pressure remains normal or near normal. Billy noticed balance issues and memory problems and from the advice of his doctors, he underwent a shunt procedure to take care of the condition.
He’s doing much better, but is still limited when it comes to working.
