I have a lot of respect for farmers. Working day in and day out at all hours, tending to God’s land. And don’t get me started on milking a cow! I participated in yesterday’s ‘Celebrity Cow Milking Contest’ at our Indiana State Fair. And sidebar, can we stop calling it, ‘Celebrity’, please? Media peeps are not celebrities. If you wanna get Sophie Cunningham or T.J. McConnell out there competing in the milking contest, then yes, those folks are celebrities. That said, I gave it my best shot, tugging away at poor Bessie (or whatever her name is…sweet, beautiful cow!). I believe we had 90 seconds each to see how much milk we could produce. Ha! I was praying for at least a tablespoon! As you’ll see in the video below, when the ref called, “TIME!”, I had collected a half a cup of cow’s milk! Let me just say, it’s easier said than done~
