When the sky roars, it’s time to go indoors.
That’s a common phrase used to remind people that IF you can hear thunder, you CAN be hit by lightning. If you hear thunder, go inside!
If you don’t, bad things can happen! Case in point:
A group of golfers were out golfing in Cincinnati recently while thunderstorms were moving through the area. It appeared that a couple of the golfers got stuck in their cart, and were trying to get the cart out and moving again while they were filmed by another golfer from a distance.
Then, it happened!
The golfer that was filming the crew trying to get unstuck was struck by lightning!
Despite the terrifying nature of the direct strike, the man miraculously escaped severe or life-threatening injuries. According to reports, he suffered burns to his arm and temporarily lost feeling throughout his body, alongside brief hearing issues.
