Kindness matters, especially in this day and age where we seem to constantly hear ‘bad news’. Today is ‘Jim Irsay’s 1976 Acts of Kindness Day’. Here are a couple of ways you can give back. But think ‘outside the box’ and even come up with your own way to help others. Donating to a food bank in your community. How bout donating blood? You can book an appointment or see when the Red Cross Bloodmobile will be near you, here: https://www.redcrossblood.org/

Wednesday, August 5, is Jim Irsay 1976 Acts of Kindness Day. This day will honor the philanthropy of the late Colts owner as well as Carmel’s 50th anniversary as a city. Carmel Rotary and Kiwanis are co-sponsors and many community groups are participating, including VFW Post 10003 Carmel. We ask everyone to stop by the Post, 12863 Old Meridian Street, on August 5 anytime between 1 and 4 pm. Stay 10 minutes or 3 hours and help us write notecards to hospitalized veterans. It’s such an easy way to honor those who fought for our country and our freedoms.
