Cancer sucks! Period. Especially when it affects kids. So imagine driving by a children’s hospital, looking up and seeing a sign in one of the patient’s windows that reads: “I need pizza & donuts”. That’s exactly what an 11-year-old leukemia patient at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital wrote on a few posters recently. Emmalee Wilkins was tired of the typical hospital food so she created several posters and hung them on her hospital room windows, facing out, in hopes that someone would see them. It worked* Several businesses brought by pizza and donuts not just for Emmalee, but also some of the other patients. Kindness matters~
