Fellow bourbon lovers know that whiskey and even wine gets better with age. But I’m not sure the same can be said for cooking oil at a restaurant. Well, the owner of an ‘award winning’ chicken eatery in Japan recently shared the secret to their delicious chicken: he claims they haven’t changed their frying oil for 66 years! According to the news site, Oddity Central, the aged oil gives their famous chicken a ‘unique flavor’ and ‘complex aroma’. I’m think the aroma might be a little more on the disgusting side if you have to run to the bathroom after eating their chicken! Continuing to use frying oil for over SIX DECADES cannot be safe!
