Looks like Rod Stewart is in ‘the doghouse’ with fans after cancelling this past Friday night’s concert in San Diego, only to post how he was headed to Boston for The World Cup with his sons! According to reports, Rod’s reps said he wouldn’t be able to perform due to, “an acute upper respiratory infection that has resulted in laryngitis.” Okay, that has happened to artists and is a very valid, yet unfortunate, reason to call off a show. BUT, Rod slipped up when posted the video below on social media, showing how he was headed to Boston with his sons to enjoy the World Cup…for the SEVENTH time! And as you’ll hear his speak in the video, Rod’s voice doesn’t sound half bad (not like you’d expect if you have laryngitis). Read some of the comments in the post from fans who were ticked off. A few made a good point that many of them traveled and rearranged their schedule, took time off from work, to see him in concert. Hey, many of us have ‘called in sick’ even when weren’t exactly sick. But this is a little different when you’ve just affected several thousands of people who paid to see you perform. It’s not like someone else can fill in, ya know~
