Imagine you step into a public restroom only to discover that someone has left behind their fanny pack, and inside is $30,000 CASH!! First thing that would cross my mind is that it’s drug money. Well this really did happen recently at a WaWa connivence store in Florida. And it wasn’t drug money, it was a family’s ’emergency fund’! Side bar: why on earth would you keep THAT kind of money in a fanny pack?! Back to the story: The man who found this didn’t keep it, but instead spent days searching for the rightful owner. He finally contacted police to turn the money in, hoping the owner would step forward. That’s exactly what happened and they were reunited with every last penny of the money! So how much did they give to fella who found it, you know, as a reward? ZERO! The owner of the fanny pack supposedly plans on taking the man out to dinner to show his appreciation. Are you kidding me?! Someone found your emergency fund of $30,000 CASH and they didn’t keep it, but turned in and you got it back and all you can do to thank them is take them to Sizzler for dinner?! Come on, at the very least, they should have given the good citizen $500! I believe in karma and the man who returned the money will have good karma for doin’ the right thing~
