This time of year, potholes are EVERYWHERE! And some are much bigger and nastier than others. A South African politician who’s running for office in Johannesburg, staged the perfect stunt to draw attention to their terrible pothole situation. As you’ll see in the video below from CTV News, Helen Zille strapped on a wet suit, along with a face mask and snorkel and went for a swim in a massive pothole! Supposedly, the killer pothole had been there for THREE years, as a result of broken water lines. Helen’s stunt apparently worked because reports say the hole has since been filled in.
