IU quarterback, Fernado Mendoza, is quickly becoming a household name. The Heisman Trophy winner appeared on The Tonight Show this week and shared highlights of the Championship game with host Jimmy Fallon. I love how Mendoza is so down to earth. He doesn’t put on any airs and just has a positive attitude about him. And even though Mendoza knows the spotlight has been especially on him this season (undefeated at that), he is quick to spread the compliments to his fellow teammates and coach Cignetti.
Jimmy put Mendoza’s quarterback skills to the test last night on his show with a very unique throwing contest. Fallon tossed up several vinyl records with Mendoza standing about 20 feet away. Not surprising, IU’s Championship QB CRUSHED IT!! (the contest starts at the 2:35 mark)
