Okay, the headline of this blog is a tad misleading (and dare I say, scandalous)…but get your mind outta the gutter. The Christmas trees are doing anything naughty, they’re simply bare. As in, NOTHING on them. No decorations. No colorful lights. No sparkly tinsel. Just a plain ol’ tree. I guess the idea is ‘less is more’. Kind of a minimalist’s mentality? Photos and videos like the one below are popping up all over social media. In some cases, the Christmas tree is totally bare…but in others, they at least have white lights on them. When I first saw these, it made me think of someone who just gave up decorating! They got frustrated and said, “Ah, the hell with it, it looks fine…just shove it in the corner!”. I’m sorry, I’m a traditionalist. For it to technically be a ‘Christmas’ tree, it HAS to have ornaments and lights on it! Otherwise, it’s just a tree.

Now, I will say, this ‘naked tree’ looks kinda cool because it’s not overflowing with decorations. Pretty tree with some twinkling lights…red ribbon~
