One of the greatest championship belts in boxing history was sold at auction over the weekend. CBS4 reports that Colt’s owner, Jim Irsay had the winning bid of $6,100,000 yesterday, claiming the belt that boxing legend Muhammad Ali won in 1974. It was the infamous ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ bout with George Foreman. The belt is now a part of Irsay’s impressive collection of memorabilia that’s been significant to American history. The belt is on tour, making a stop in Chicago next week and then will be in Indianapolis on September 9th and 10th at Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets are free but you must register in advance, here: https://www.jimirsaycollection.com/
