2016–BRING IT ON!

In the radio business, we have a phrase called “Radio Edit”.–which means to take a million thoughts in your head and verbalize them in as few words as possible–while still painting that picture. That being said, I’m not one to make New Year’s Resolutions as a rule–other than the typical ones like–try to be healthier, do more for the community, be a kind person, etc. I do like to reflect on things that I’ve experienced though and focus on what I’ve learned from those experiences. We all learned a lot in 2015–some good–some not so good, but we all learned. It reminds me of a quote that’s been a favorite of mine for many years & I do my best to live by it daily. It says “I NEVER LOSE–EITHER I WIN OR I LEARN”. Being a former college athlete–which makes me competitive by nature–I’ve learned along the way that things DO come easy for some and not so easy for others. No matter which category you’re in, own it. I’ve learned that if I whine about it, it just makes it harder. The end result will depend on my attitude and my attitude only. So, my attitude for 2016 is a little different than years past and I have my God Daughter, Samantha to thank for that. She sent me a Christmas Gift in a box that she made by hand…with the following statement…BE CREATIVE, BE EXCITED and perhaps most importantly, BE HAPPY! Thank you, Sam–I think I will!
