My wife Jenni and I registered for our baby shower over the Christmas break, and it was an eye opening experience! I had a vague idea of many of the essentials that we’d need to register for, but clothing, caring for and feeding babies is a BILLION DOLLAR industry!! As we walked through Babies R Us and even Target, I quickly learned that there aren’t just a few pacifiers to choose from…no there were dozens of different styles and colors! We must have looked confused in the ‘bouncer’ isle, because a Babies R Us employee walked up to us asking, “need any help?”. I asked, “what’s the difference between a bouncer and a jumper?”. The woman smiled and replied, “this is your first child isn’t it?”. Why yes, Yoda, it is. I mean is there really that big of a difference between a bouncer, a jumper and a swing?!?! NOO!! It’s a way the manufacturers make more money off of babies.
Then I stumbled across this product…
Yep, it’s an actual product that prevents your baby from peeing on you when you’re changing their diaper! Someone ACTUALLY developed this in a laboratory…tested it!…and pitched it to a manufacturer! Like I said, babies are BIG business $$$
Registering for our baby was a lot of fun, because it was basically like making a list for Santa, with the hope that your family and friends will help buy some of this stuff for junior! It’s either that or I’m gonna have to start donating plasma for money! Too many cool gadgets, clothing, toys and DIAPERS that we’ll need!
