Gen Con fans were beyond disappointed last year when one of the largest conventions in Indy was called off because of the pandemic. But they’re back this year! Safety measures will be in place and a limited amount of attendees will be allowed. And, they’re adding additional ‘pop-up’ sites and certain game stores in Indy. This is exciting news not just for gamers, but for businesses downtown. Hotels, restaurants and others in the hospitality industry have taken a major hit from pandemic and now they’re ready to get back to business. Gen Con officials say they’ll be working with public health officials and may even require guests to be vaccinated. Masks and other safety measures may also be put in place. Small price to pay for a return to socializing and enjoying all the fun of Gen Con.
After reading surveys and talking with our partners and health officials, Gen Con 2021 has new dates and new ways to participate. Join us in-person at Gen Con Indy, Gen Con Online, or at a Pop-Up Gen Con on Sept 16th -19th. Read our full statement here: https://t.co/dKHwx8Uu4k pic.twitter.com/yLTdUNpqez
