Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend a solemn, remembrance ceremony – on the occasion of the 15th year anniversary of the tragic events of Sept. 11th.

The event is FREE and is scheduled to take place on TODAY beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis 9/11 Memorial, located at 421 West Ohio Street.
Following the ceremony, The Wright Brothers – who will sing the National Anthem and “America the Beautiful” during the ceremony will appear in concert at 4:15 p.m. until approximately 6:30 p.m.
A limited number of free parking spaces will be available a first-come, first served basis on a surface lot located along New York Street between Senate and Capitol Avenues. Entrance is from Capitol Avenue.
Brig. Gen. J. Stewart Goodwin will be the keynote speaker for the ceremony. Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett will be in attendance at the event.
Presenting sponsors for the ceremony include: Bill Doran Direct, Brinkman Press, Harley-Davidson of Indianapolis, H.O.G. Indianapolis Chapter No. 1, Pepsi Co., Ray’s Trash Service, Republic Parking and White River State Park.
The Indianapolis 9/11 Memorial was dedicated and established in 2011 and the Indiana World War Memorials Foundation is responsible for the maintenance of the Memorial, which serves as a timeless tribute to the more than 3,000 people whose lives were lost on Sept. 11th, as well as honoring the memory of all personnel in the Armed Services, who have died as a result of the War on Terror.
