The 27th annual World’s Ugliest Dog competition took place over the weekend in Petaluma, California. This year’s winner is Quasi Modo, who has a hunchback due to spinal birth defects. This stray dog won the hearts of many, and proves that love is blind. The winner of the contest is chosen based upon appearance, personality and interaction with the audience. I love this competition because it’s not about making fun of these pooches, but as organizers explain they, “celebrate the spirit and imperfections that make these dogs loveable and adoptable,”
