A new study found the most expensive year of your life is age 50 . . .
When you turn 50, the AARP starts reaching out to you . . . and you’ll REJECT them. You’ll swear you’re too young to join, and you definitely won’t feel like a senior citizen.
Well . . . maybe you should sign up. The membership gets you a lot of discounts, and you could use them.
Why is 50 the most expensive year of your life? Because that’s when ALL your biggest life expenses collide.
You’re still paying your mortgage AND you’re still paying for your kids . . . but you’ve also got new costs with more expensive health care and insurance. Plus, you could also find yourself helping out your parents financially for the first time.
The average 50-year-old’s life costs about $41,000 for the year . . . and your life stays almost that expensive through most of your 50s.
Fortunately, when you’re pushing 60, the costs finally drop down to about $30,000-a-year . . . because by then, IN THEORY, you aren’t supporting your kids anymore and your mortgage is paid off.
So, hang in there my half-century friends…I’m right there with ya…..and we could always win the lottery…maybe?
