Any caring parent will tell you they’ll try anything to help their baby stop crying. So when people saw a new product called, ‘Baby Mute’ online recently, they wanted to know who to order one of these new face masks (as seen below). They were directed to the website, which is very believable, including testimonials and even pictures of ‘doctors’ evaluating the product: https://babymute.com/
However, it’s not real. Wait what??? Canadian comedian Brad Gossee hatched the whole thing as a joke. But A LOT of people fell for it! Brad included a phone number on the site and of course had been inendated with calls, especially from upset parents. Some called him out saying that babies should never be ‘muzzled’ but allowed to express their feelings. Uh, seriously? Look at this contraption! How on earth did anyone fall for this?!
