I can remember going to the track as a kid and being blown away at the sights and sounds of the world famous oval! It was incredible! But what was confusing was the restroom setup. There were urinal troughs, which I had never seen or used before. Ladies, picture a long trough like tub with 10-15 guys lined up relieving themselves! Now, as a kid, I was “pee shy”, so it was next to impossible to go in front of other guys. Beyond that, it seemed so barbaric to be peeing in a large trough with total strangers! Well, thanks to Roger Penske, those outdated urinal troughs are now gone, replaced with cleaner facilities! But the memory of the infamous IMS urinal troughs have been printed onto a new, special edition t-shirt!
