The National Toy Hall of Fame has announced this year’s inductees, and one that made the cut really surprised me: the slide. HOW is the slide just now being inducted into the NATIONAL TOY HALL OF FAME??? I know some may not classify the slide as a ‘toy’, but it is something you play with (or on). And the Hall of Fame directors say a toy being considered must be considered an ‘icon’…foster creativity…engage multiple generations, just to name a few of the criteria. So yes, the slide, checks all of those boxes. Here are the other toys that made this year’s cut:
