As the old saying goes, “The show must go on!”. A performer’s trumpet stopped working in the middle of his performance of our national anthem at the Diamondback’s game over the weekend in Arizona. So, he grabbed the mic and sang the rest of it. Now, that is patriotism! I’ve been a radio broadcaster for 36 years and do a LIVE show nearly every weekday. I’ve learned the hard way the old saying is true: ‘if something can go wrong, it probably will’. It’s not a pessimistic attitude, it’s just being prepared. You always have to have a backup plan.
