Do you agree with the concept “sex sells”?
“Sex Sells” is actually a phrase used to describe the use of sexual appeal, body imagery, or suggestive themes in advertising and media to attract attention and promote products.
Think about it, over the years we’ve been bombarded with the concept. Abercrombie and Fitch, Axe Body Spray, and Sketchers have had provocative ads to promote their products.
And recently, American Eagle had a campaign for their “Great Jeans” campaign featuring Sydney Sweeney.
The ad sparked intense online debate and countless social media discussion. (Which is exactly the goal, right?)
And Sydney Sweeney is at it again, this time with Novig, a betting site that’s only for sports.
The point of the ad is that Novig is a “stripped-down” betting site that’s for sports only. I get it, “stripped-down”! In the ad, Sweeney can be seen with various sports equipment with nothing on but a smile!
