With the passing of Hollywood icon and philanthropist, Dolly Parton, many fans are still shocked at the news. We weren’t expecting it. Thinking back now, there were signs that something seemed ‘off’. Dolly had cancelled an appearance or an event here or there. Even calling off her Vegas residency, sighting ‘health challenges’. She was 80 so it wasn’t unheard of that Dolly needed to slow down and listen to her body. Then this past Friday, we learned that she had been hospitalized due to kidney and autoimmune issues. Again, didn’t think much of it. But now we’re learning that the country music legend had secretly been battling cancer, and we still don’t know what kind. Here’s a video that her family posted, read by her nephew who was a part of her security detail:
