I remember Jimmy Buffett telling a story in concert one time, about how he and his buddies were so fed up with politics in Florida back in the day, that they voted in their favorite bartender for Mayor.
And sometimes folks get so fed up with the options to choose from, they will vote in animals, or pets, into public office. Cats, dogs, and even a mule was voted in office in Washington!
And folks in Tallahassee, Florida are up to voting in another animal to office! Arnie. Arnie’s a dog, a basset hound to be exact.
Is he a Republican? A Democrat? An Independent? Or something else?
Supposedly, he represents the “Hound Party”. Whatever that is…….
