I’ve always been a big fan of Charles Dickens’ classic, ‘A Christmas Carol’. There have been many versions over the years since the original was created in 1843. Johnny Depp will be playing Scrooge in the newest movie, ‘Ebenezer’. Here he is at the recent Comic-Con on a makeshift set from the movie:

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming ‘Ebenezer’ flick, due in theaters on November 13th this year. As I watched this preview, I keep hearing Captain Jack Sparrow as Depp speaks. This take off from ‘A Christmas Carol’ seems a little too campy. It appears they’re trying to make Ebenezer a little funnier than we remember him. Scrooge was originally short tempered, impatient and a social misfit. I’m just not feelin’ it with this upcoming film and I’m a big fan of this classic story AND Depp! We’ll see~
