Here’s a man that probably doesn’t have an ‘indoor voice’. An town crier from Australia has set a new Guinness World Record, with his voice measuring 122.4 decibels!! Joseph McGrail, better known as Lord Joseph, is the town crier for Queanbeyan, Australia (about the same size as Indy). He captured the new title this past May when he put his vocal talents to the test. Impressive! I feel like most parents develop a strong voice when shouting for their kids. My mom and dad both had voices that I could hear anytime they shouted my name when I was a kid! I could be anywhere in our neighborhood and when my mom called, “DINNER TIME!!” it was certainly time to get home! Now if my dad had to shout for us, it usually included, “GET YOUR BUTT HOME!!”~
