Without question, Caitlin Clark is one of the WNBA’s biggest stars. I reported recently on the Morning Show that her jersey is now the SECOND BEST SELLING jersey, surpassing Labron James! Clearly, Clark was missed last season when she was sidelined with some injuries. But now that she’s back, the team seems to be firing on all cylinders. So fans wondered what went down when Fever coach, White, appeared to get angry with the star during a recent game and even benched Clark! In the video below at the 1:33 mark, you’ll see the exchange. White is laying into Clark pretty hard and when you see that Clark pushes back, White then appears to signal that she’s pulling Clark from the game. I have a ton of respect for coach White because she sees past Caitlin’s superstar status. White’s making decisions based upon what’s best for the entire team.
But isn’t it interesting that Clark has a different respect and relationship with coach White, than say…Michael Jordan and coach Phil Jackson. You would have NEVER seen Jordan pulled from a game like this or Jackson laying into him like this back in the day.
