I’m really hoping this is a “passing fad” and won’t catch on, but men in Russia are getting “cauliflower ears”!
Cauliflower ears are medically defined as an auricular hematoma. The definitions is: A permanent, disfiguring condition where the outer ear becomes swollen, lumpy, and shriveled. Your ear actually resembles a cauliflower.
It occurs when trauma seperates skin from cartilage, causing blood to pool and cutting off nutrients. Cauliflower ear is common with athletes that compete in contact sports like wrestling, boxing, and rugby.
And why would men actually pay to have this cosmetic surgery done? To look tough. They want to look like tough MMA fighters!
