Yikes!
Hoping this is all a misunderstanding, but pretty gross nonetheless!
It appears a Louisiana restaurant is under investigation after a viral video showed employees skinning a deer behind the building! The deer was apparently a “roadkill” and was never intended for customers.
Two problems:
- It’s illegal to collect or harvest roadkill without permission for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
- The deer carcass was in the same freezer alongside the other food items intended for customers.
