If there was ever an actor who didn’t need a body suit to appear more muscular, wouldn’t you think it would be The Rock? Apparently he did just that for the first ever live-action remake of ‘Moana’. It hits theaters July 10th. I loved the original animated version with The Rock providing the voice of Maui. He brought the character to life. But now, with this new version, I’m torn. Johnson is still impressive as the ‘demi god’, but it doesn’t have the same sizzle as the animated version. Critics online are even harder, wondering what’s up with Dwayne’s wig that he wears in the film. Well he had to because like me, The Rock is follically challenged. But what’s even stranger is that producers put him in a padded body suit! The Rock has always been muscular so was this overkill? Check out the trailer:
