Talk about the ‘end of an era’…most of us can immediately picture ‘Mr. Clean’, the spokesperson/image for the famous cleaning product. Proctor & Gamble share the post below on social media, stirring up a mess on social media that even Mr. Clean won’t be able to clean up (well, he can’t…he’s retiring!). So after nearly 70 years, the bald icon is hanging up his mop apparently. Question: 70 years will actually be in 2028, so why wouldn’t they wait until then to make the ‘change’? Feels like a marketing stunt. Cracker Barrel’s CEO even apologized after they changed their famous logo last year, saying it being ‘fired by America’. Okay, so this isn’t ‘apples to apples’ since Proctor & Gamble is not replacing Mr. Clean with someone/something else, but he is retiring. Guess we’ll find out on March 4th~
