Ketchup Packet Battery. Apparently, it’s a thing!
A 28-year-old man in Florida, Austin Simmons, was arrested recently for felony battery. Pretty serious. What did he do? He hit someone with a packet of ketchup at a bus terminal.
Yup, he threw a packet of ketchup at someone in the terminal.
I guess Austin was kind of “out of it”, and looked like he’d passed out. So, a guy named Carlos went over to check on him.
Austin freaked out, and threw an opened packet of ketchup at Carlos, which caused two spots of ketchup stain on his jacket.
Now, normally that would be a misdemeanor, but Austin had a previous battery connection on his record, so it got upgraded to a felony! Oh yeah, and the police also found a small amount of cocaine on him too!
