Back in 1962, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was built…all thanks to actor, Danny Thomas. As the story goes, Danny was a struggling young entertainer. He and his wife were expecting a baby soon. Danny visited a Detroit church and prayed to St. Jude Thaddeus, the patron saint of hopeless causes. Danny prayed to the saint asking, “help me find my way in life, and I will build you a shrine”. It was Danny Thomas’ mission to help children and save lives. He went on to become a very successful entertainer and kept good on his word to build St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Families from around the world have benefited by receiving medical care, never getting a bill…and that’s only because of generous people who have become ‘Partners In Hope’. By pledging just $19 a month, you will help to save lives. Lives of children that you will never meet, but know that with your compassionate donation, you gave them hope.
