Have you ever sent a text message to the wrong person? Maybe you got the number wrong by just one digit. Well that happened to an Arizona grandma back in 2016. Wanda Dench thought she was texting her grandson but instead, a total stranger, Jamal Hinton, got an invite to her Thanksgiving meal. Hinton was a teenager at the time, and when he got the text he replied that she had the wrong number, but asked, “Could I still get a plate tho”. Grandma Dench didn’t hesitate and told him he was certainly welcome to join her and their family for the feast. Flash forward to today, the pair will be enjoying their 10th Thanksgiving together, and this year it’s being sponsored by Green Giant (guessing they’ll be providing all the vegetable sides).
