The biopic of one of the greatest entertainers of all time is finally happening. Michael Jackson’s life story will hit theaters on April 24th of 2026. I feel like we’ve been talking about this for the last five years, wondering if it was ever gonna happen. ‘Michael‘ will takes fans through the pop star’s incredible career that started when he was just a child, a part of The Jackson Five. Speaking of which, Michael’s nephew, Jaafar (son of Jermaine Jackson) will play the lead role in the movie. And I gotta tell ya, Jaafar looks JUST LIKE his late uncle! If done right, and let’s hope it was, ‘Michael’ will be the biggest movie of 2026. Of course it will celebrate the Hoosier icon’s musical life, but will it tell some of the darker sides of Jackson’s past? Most likely not since I’m sure Jackson’s family had a huge role in approving the script. And honestly, is it really necessary to shine a light on those controversial moments? No. We all have skeletons in our closets. This movie hopefully will make Michael Jackson fans smile~
